Turkey Trot

Every year during the month of November Laie Elementary holds a big race. Weeks before the  race children in each class race each other. Three kids (3boys,3girls) from each class gets chosen to represent their classroom. On Turkey Trot day those kids run against the other chosen candidates from the whole grade. Mateo was the fastest in his class. On Turkey Trot day, had he known where the finish line was he probably would have taken first place but he took second out of the whole grade! WOhOOOO  way to go Teo! You rock! He brought home a pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving Dinner.  We are sooooo proud of him!

Halloween 2011

This years Halloween was a new experience. Laie Halloweens' are quite amazing. People come from all over Oahu because its safer here. Most of the bulk of Trick or Treaters stay in two streets Iosepa and  Moana. The masses were daunting. The kids had a blast. Over and out.

Mateo was Poseidon
Laura was a Pirate

Claudia was an Egyptian princess

Titus was a Pirate

Saul was "Saul Surfer"

My keiki!

This is our neighbor Annika. She was a ninja.

Can you see Saul? He had to fight for his candy this year. haha

Aotearoa Poi Balls. google it

Tattoos!

Our friend Mariah is very talented in the art of Tattooing. I thought since we live in Polynesia I would let my kids get tattoos. When they get tired of them i guess we will have to get plastic surgery to remove them. No worries,  hang loose right?

Super Citizens!!!!

At Laie Elamentary each month a coupple of  kids per class get chosen to be Super Citizen. They are give this honor :-)if they have shown excellence not only academically but mostly for going out of their way to be helpful and good. In other words for 'Good Citizenship". It is a big deal around here. They have a school assembly and some parents, aunts and uncles stay up late at night making millions of candy leis for their little heroes.
Claudia was Super Citizen in September and Mateo was for October. I tell you what! I am getting better at making candy leis. Hooray for my Super Citizens!

Snorkeling at Sharks Cove

Sharks Cove

We finally got to go snorkeling. What fun! This place called Sharks Cove is about 20 min from our house and is amazing. The area we went to was very shallow so you dont have to know how to swim. We had A BLAST! There were lots of fish that day!

Good night!

Well, I blogged a ton today.  Don't I look tired?  I will blog again later later!!! (Nothing cuter than a sleeping baby!)

Zeb got an ipod touch from work. Cool hugh? The kids LOVE it  Here they are watching Netflix on it. I have a feeling this generation will turn out retarded. I will ration ipod time.

We have 9am church this year. I love it! I told the girls to lay out their outfits the night before and to get everything perfectly ready.  Here is what Claudia did.  Is she not an obedient little sweetie?  By the way in this picture they are modeling head beads that their Grandparents brought from India. Pretty, Pretty.

Christmas, Fruit Leather and Green Smoothies

I think you can figure out which picture goes with what right?

Jordan: The Capable Babysitter!

Last time we went to visit Provo, I had Jordan hold Saul for a few minutes and he just melted in her arms. He fell right asleep.  Way to go Jordan! You have the touch!

Thank you Jayden

Doesn't Titus look handsome wearing his cousins suit and Sandals?  This might be an omen! Are we moving to Hawaii?

Laura also had a Birthday last year!

November 30th, 2010
Laura our firstborn turned 9!
I cannot believe how grown up she is. She is turning into a little senorita along with her cousins.  She is a huge help for me with Saul. She wants me to have ten more babies so she can take care of them.  We shall see.  Maybe in the next life. Or better yet, Laura:  YOU can have ten kids and take are of them too. That would be wonderful. She actually says she want to have many children.  I personally believe she would do a fantastic job!  Laura is responsible and her teachers at school cannot say enough good things about her. She also loves to exercise. Whenever her dad goes to the BYU-I indoor track she always wants to go with him. Even if it is at 5am! What a bundle of joy she is. A cannot believe it has almost been 10 years!
